Im so proud of my boy

18 years and 6 months ago, God blessed me with one of two greatest gifts that he has ever given to any man. On January 24, 1990 at 0325AM, my oldest son, Alex was born. On December 23, 1997 my little one, Andre Clifford was born and is my precious gift from heaven. Alex is so much like me in many ways but then again, so are both my boys but today is Alex's Day...

Alex graduated from North East High School, Pasadena, Maryland on June 09, 2008 during a 7PM ceremony at the Prince Georges County Equestrian Center. What is so cool about the kids in that school is that they are so close, clean cut and good that it makes you realize that this generation is not lost. These kids did everything right and even came back from a tragedy that was dripping with pure racism. To see this kids together really makes me proud. What really had me jumping thru the roof was that my boy played solo acoustic guitar during the finally of the graduation which was a culmination of there time at North East. They sang John Denver's "Leaving on a Jet Plane" Which had always been close to me since my time in the Air Force when I was traveling to every corner of the world. Alex Rocked it!!!!! To see my son as the solo guitarist brought tears to my eyes...I'm so proud of him.

Alex, who never ceases to amaze me, is leaving for Senior Week, Ocean City Maryland today for 7 days. He also just realized that I have a Wedding in Cape May New Jersey on Saturday this week and a Bridal Session in Rheboth Beach, Delaware the next day which is fathers day. Ocean City is 30 minutes away from Rheboth and Alex wants to take a break from the festivities of Senior Week and wants me to have lunch with him and his friends on Fathers Day in Ocean City. How cool is that!!! As allot of my close friends know, I really look up to my son and we have a very close relationship which grows stronger each day. I'm so proud of him and proud to be his dad!!! His Mom has done such an amazing job raising such an awesome man, I'm not taking this credit alone.

Alex...YOUR AWESOME!!!! and I love you.

Always, your Daddy ( sorry if that embarrassed you but you do push a cool sports car so it's ok:)..)
